Working Together
Initial Consultation
Initial appointments are 90 minutes
Prior to your first appointment, you will be asked to fill out comprehensive health history questionnaires and provide pertinent medical records. Your intake questionnaires and medical records will be reviewed in full prior to your first appointment.

During your initial consultation, it is important to hear your story! We will review your history together to have a better understanding of your health history and current concerns.

We will discuss potential conventional and functional labs to gain a better understanding of what is going on at a biochemical level.
I will provide an initial care plan while awaiting results of the laboratory testing. Initial Health Plans often include dietary and lifestyle modifications, basic nutritional supplements and specific treatment for the most pressing concerns.
Follow Up Visits
As a guide on your healthcare journey, I am here to help you learn about yourself, where the imbalances in your body stem from, and ways to improve your health so you're no longer simply surviving but thriving. I've found that meeting consistently offers the most profound change.

All initial test results are reviewed in full and put in the context of your health concerns.

Your progress is evaluated and your care plan will be personalized and modified based on test results and progress.

In the Harmony Haven program, you can also access weekly office hours.
Personalized Health Plan
A comprehensive Health Plan Summary with all recommendations along with specific handouts are provided through your patient portal with every visit.
Your Care Plan will include recommendations such as:
-
Specific lifestyle modification (addressing sleep and relaxation, stress, movement, relationships and nutrition)
-
Nutrition recommendations and specific food plans tailored to your needs (for autoimmunity, glucose regulation, cardiac health, adrenal support, etc.)
-
Tailored nutraceutical or herbal recommendations
-
Referrals to other providers such as counselors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, health coach/nutritionist, etc.
Lab Testing
Conventional Lab Testing:
-
This includes many “standard” blood tests, assessed through a functional lens, plus additional labs to identify overt or early signs of imbalance.
-
If you do not have insurance you can obtain labs through my account; if you do have insurance you should check before our visit to see if labs at LabCorp are covered by your insurance--I would be out of network.
-
HSA can also be used
-
I find that it is important to test and not guess when it comes to finding underlying causes.

Functional Lab Testing:
Depending on your health goals, we offer a unique, investigative toolset to evaluate your body’s current state of function (or dysfunction) and to identify root causes of imbalance. This approach allows us to best direct therapeutic treatment plans, rather than guessing or simply suppressing symptoms.
Functional Lab Tests can include:
-
Nutrient Assessment
-
Comprehensive Stool Testing
-
Hormone Testing
-
Genetic Testing
-
Toxin Testing
-
Immune Sensitivity Testing
-
and others
